THANK YOU!

Wow, 2010 has come and gone in a blink of an eye it would seem. With 2011 less than a day away, it looks as though 2010 will end with some seriously frosty conditions. This morning it was 37 degrees in Los Angeles, brrr.... That's pretty darn cold for SoCal!

Winter is probably the worse time of the year for me as far as fly fishing, I don't get out much. I have to get by passing the time reading blogs or fishing forums. It helps brining back the motivation for another year of fly fishing. I'm so looking forward to 2011 and some warmer weather, you gotta remember this is SoCal, it's hardly ever cold here.

Reflecting on my fly fishing ventures this past year, I met up with some like minded fly fishermen and had an awesome time fly fishing the surf. I fly fished for carp in the LA River with a few friends, and a whole bunch of times on my own. Spent some quality time with the family up in Yosemite, fly fished a bit for not one fish, but I guess that's just the way it goes sometimes. Spent a few days on the local creeks in the San Gabriel mountains, which can sometimes be heartbreaking due to all the graffiti and trash. The time spent in the Eastern Sierra was pretty nice. When all is said and done, I had a nice year of fly fishing in 2010.

Thanks you all who frequented my blog in 2010. It may not be the best blog in the world, but it's about fly fishing, and fly fishing rocks!

Here's to a Fishy 2011!
Cheers, The SoCal Fly Fisher
